This time it is for the book “Den of Blades and Briars”, the seventh book in the Broken Kingdoms series by LJ Andrews!

Which basically covered everything, so for certain people… this may be too intense. If you have lived through situations like what is written, I hope you never ever feel bad for surviving and not being able to relive those moments. 💜 Many people will never experience half that trauma in their life, so be gentle with yourself. 💕

🖤 Ari & Saga 🖤

The book focuses this time on Ari Sekundär and his now indebted Serf, Saga.

At the end of Book 6 in the series, Saga is briefly introduced as the woman who went against the crown to help the Queen Mother attempt to usurp the throne.

All we know when she is introduced is that she and Ari quite literally hate each other. King Bracken, knowing this—and with his ever-present Fae humor—chose to bind them together for 100 years as punishment. Saga is sentenced to serve Ari for a century.

Ari sails back to the Court of Stars to attend the wedding of Prince Gunnar and Princess Eryka of the Court of Stars. He is there on behalf of the kingdoms to be the ambassador and ensure good relations.

Saga’s punishment also comes with an added cruelty—she cannot physically separate from Ari without experiencing excruciating pain. This sentence binds them closer than either of them could have ever imagined, forcing them to navigate a dangerous world while tethered to someone they despise.

The story starts out seemingly with everything going right for Ari—until suddenly, a devastating event shakes the entire Court of Hearts. With this upheaval comes blame, and all fingers point to Ari. Ari instantly went from respected to hunted.

As things begin to unfold, you quickly realize nothing is as it seems. The layers of deception, political maneuvering, and unexpected alliances turn this book into one of the most thrilling rides yet!

The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had things figured out, LJ Andrews pulled the rug out from under me again. The betrayal, the secrets, the jaw-dropping moments—it’s all so, so good.

Like every book in the Broken Kingdoms series, family and loyalty remain a central theme. With every turn of the page, you’re reminded that many kings and queens are still not in their rightful places.

This book? By far my favorite in the series. I’ve loved Ari from the start, and getting his full story was everything I wanted and more.

Oh, and the spice? 🔥🔥🔥

This book takes the slow burn to a whole new level. The tension, the banter, the build-up that makes you absolutely feral—and then? BOOM. I was wrecked. I’d easily rate the spice at a full 10/10. You can’t help but get caught up in every single moment.
